Kim Anthony Gallet

Milton - A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at his residence for Kim Anthony Gallet better known as " # Nine", 68, who passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2026. A Rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM on Saturday afternoon at his home. Mr. Gallet, a lifelong resident of Milton, LA was born on June 13, 1957, in Baytown, Texas, the son of the late Jean Batiste Gallet and the former Gilda Elias both of Milton, Louisiana. Kim took his final ride into the sunset on May 30, 2026. He plowed his own path, even when it veered from his family’s straight rows. A simple man with calloused hands and a stubborn heart, he was the black sheep who wore his title like a badge and his tractor as his throne. Now, he’s taken his final ride into the sunset, leaving behind furrows of love, laughter, and a little mischief for us to remember. Never one to follow the flock, he lived life easy going but with high purpose. A man of many miles, he found peace in the hum of an old tractor. An electrician by-trade who loved telling stories about his days as a truck driver. A man who helped everyone and could fix anything. His life was simple. He was old-school and genuine, never judging others or looking down on anyone. Kim loved the motorcycle world and everything that came with it. He believed in the healing of silver water and enjoyed making it for anyone who asked. He loved collecting antiques and paintings—anything he could make a dollar off of. He loved to tell jokes, enjoyed spending time with close friends, working on his tractors, making fig jam, listening to music, and cooking jambalaya for benefits. He loved to eat Cajun dishes, especially gumbo - eating only gumbo for 3 or 4 days straight. He also enjoyed old chevy trucks, watching the Cowboys, reading his Bible, and took great pride in the way his property reminded him of his grandfathers on 92. He was an amazing friend to everyone and always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his closest friends Dean McLendon (Tillie), Colley "Bunkie" McLendon, Aimee Baudoin, Ramona Higley, Brooke Leblanc; Jason "J-Bird" Sawyer, Jonathon Bodin, and Shane Waguespack. As well as two brothers, Troy Gallet and Tommie Gallet (Cindy); his cousin, Ben Gallet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his former spouse, Margaret Savoy Gallet; sister, Adrienne Meyer; brother, Karlan "Pookie" Gallet; his maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Rena Racca Elias; and his paternal grandparents, Etienne Gallet and Louisa Bourque; nephew Andrew Landry; and dearest friends - Chad Trahan and Robert Hebert. Kim's family would like to extend a special thanks to Lynn Fabacher and Paul Everett Duhon for their care and support and ICU Nurse Mamie at Our Lady of Lourde's Hospital.
